Tattoo Advice

take care of your tattoos with Papaya Jack Tattoo Balm

Your new tattoo looks fantastic! BUT it is still an open wound and therefore requires special treatment. Here you will find important advice on how you to take care of your new tattoo.

The healing process of a tattoo takes about a month- With Papaya Jack Premium Tattoo Balm you may shorten this time considerably and also reduce the swelling and pain significantly.

1- Once the tattoo is done, most tattoo artist will clean the area and cover the tattoo with a bandage or a plastic wrap. Carefully remove the bandage after 2-4 hours. Wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and mild, unscented liquid antibacterial or antimicrobial soap.Use your hands – do not use a washcloth or any type of sponge – to clean the tattoo, remove all traces of blood, plasma, or leaked ink. Don’t cover it again – let your tattoo breath.

2- Gently pat it dry with a clean towel or a paper towel. Leave it alone for 10-60 minutes so it can air dry – until the skin feels dry and tight. Wash it 2-3 times a day.

3- Use Papaya Jack Premium Tattoo Balm for at least 14 days, or until your tattoo is completely healed. Apply the Tattoo Balm after each time you wash the tattoo, take a shower or sunbathe. Make sure to apply only a very thin layer that’s just enough to make the tattoo shine and rub it in gently until it’s absorbed by the skin. It’s very important that you don’t apply too much or you’ll suffocate the tattoo. Once again – your tattoo should be able to breath.

4- As it heals, it is normal and it can happen that your tattoo will begin to scab. Papaya Jack Premium Tattoo Balm will help avoiding this process through an optimized healing, but it can occur in a lighter form anyway.

Scabbing or peeling skin can become very itchy. Do not scratch or pick at your tattoo! The complete recovery process of the skin can take up to six weeks.

IMPORTANT: During the healing process do not bathe or swim, and do not expose your new tattoo to direct sunlight!
